The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Lycans FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xu Sha was slow to take the kick. During this time Nacional's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Nacional's Joseph Gayoso to fire away a dangerous shot which Min Beltranilla despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Pieterjan Neef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grabiel Escorcia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Min Beltranilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Nacional's Xu Sha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Min Beltranilla in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Pieterjan Neef charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After taking down the ball on Nacional's corner Xu Sha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Min Beltranilla quite easily take care of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, The Lycans FC's goal looked a bit too open when Grabiel Escorcia came free, but Min Beltranilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Nacional's Juaneizu Merida got control of the ball when Radomir Karbowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ubaldo Kelemen hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Grabiel Escorcia struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Min Beltranilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional. Jony Maidana was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Jony Maidana got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Grabiel Escorcia made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubaldo Kelemen in the 53rd minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Juaneizu Merida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juaneizu Merida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Hidalgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Min Beltranilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grabiel Escorcia in the 57th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grabiel Escorcia in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Min Beltranilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juaneizu Merida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomir Karbowski in the 65th minute of play. Pieterjan Neef kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Nacional made a substitution. Walme Yurre replaced Mendiko Bueres. In the 68th minute, Pieterjan Neef hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. But to his dismay, Pieterjan Neef quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Nacional's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Xu Sha in the 80th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in José Luis Rodríguez heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 83 minutes into the game, Ursino Brunet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Min Beltranilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 88 minutes into the match, Joseph Gayoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Min Beltranilla. The Lycans FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joseph Gayoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 92nd minute of the match Ubaldo Kelemen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juaneizu Merida skillfully saved the ball. After 95 played minutes The Lycans FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Qwinton. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nacional eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
