The audience was convinced that Guido Bautista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juaneizu Merida was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Grabiel Escorcia got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Camilo Candido kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.

Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Inverso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristides Hodei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luciano Inverso charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Inverso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Luciano Inverso got a free kick in the 98th minute.
