Thanks to some nice moves Paolo Caradaro could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Pierluigi Buffon however easily saved by the left post. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Goicoechea was the one to do the kick off. León Ponzio hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Ciro Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciro Ferdinand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Igor Lebas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th minute Alfonso Goicoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierluigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match Trevor Bibby shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pankracy Glogowski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 79thth minute of the game Igor Lebas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Lebas got free with Pankracy Glogowski in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pierluigi Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfonso Goicoechea went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. 87 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Lebas came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Lebas in the 89th minute. KaoS Futbol Club's Romano Cocolina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hermengildo Erroman, made in the 91st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Lebas got free with Pankracy Glogowski in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
