Roberto Layton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máximo Kirchner in the 14th minute of the match. Venancio Cristofol was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ferenc Puskás showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Roberto Layton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Stehno in the 25th minute of the match. If Ferenc Puskás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Venancio Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferenc Puskás, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 38 played minutes Unidad de Matanza got a freekick which was hit by Josef Krumbacher. In the 41st minute, Eliézer Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of ChAяRuA ϒ KaяβoηEяO ☆ booed when Unidad de Matanza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddy Quintyn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Unidad de Matanza were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 62nd minute Ferenc Puskás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Venancio Cristofol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
