The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 15 minutes, Baltasar Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC and the Lima Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Baltasar Freire got a free kick in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Branco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cláudio Vides. ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Branco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 21st minute, Éder Carrasqueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Vides was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Carmona got free with Kevin Curado in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sérgio Carmona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Kevin Curado made a huge save. With a little luck, Lima Team's Kevin Curado got control of the ball when Sérgio Carmona tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vivaldo Branco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Branco notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Cláudio Vides. Cláudio Vides was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Éder Carrasqueira took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cláudio Vides. Cláudio Vides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Cláudio Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevão Rego in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Éder Carrasqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lima Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Éder Carrasqueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Estevão Rego stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ivan Seabra kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Cláudio Vides was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Estevão Rego capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Estevão Rego really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Éder Carrasqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lima Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Éder Carrasqueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Vides breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cláudio Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevão Rego in the 57th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geraldo Balsemão during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Geraldo Balsemão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cláudio Vides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevão Rego in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevão Rego in the 68th minute of play forced ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's goalkeeper Cláudio Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kevin Curado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Carmona in the 71st minute of play. Sérgio Carmona's late challenge caught a Lima Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sérgio Carmona helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gentil Benevides in the 77th minute of play forced Lima Team's goalkeeper Kevin Curado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Vides made an important save on a dangerous shot by Estevão Rego in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute Estevão Rego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivaldo Branco hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Baltasar Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lima Team's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
