Matthias Brandin came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Adrianinho Meirelles. But to his dismay, Adrianinho Meirelles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A sloppy throw-in by Adriano Toscano in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Alexandrie CF's Wang Guang Chuan. In the 15thth minute of the game Xu Xing Ting who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Vasco Goycochea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matthias Brandin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Meirelles in the 17th minute of the match. When Francisco Conceicão came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Alexandrie CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Conceicão couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Francisco Conceicão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alexandrie CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 34th minute, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Yannick Osterhagen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 35 played minutes Alexandrie CF got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Perrando. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Meirelles in the 36th minute of play forced Alexandrie CF's goalkeeper Matthias Brandin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Adrianinho Meirelles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alexandrie CF's Matthias Brandin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Adrianinho Meirelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthias Brandin was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. The supporters of Alexandrie CF booed when ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Andriy Kaká hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Fidel Domenech in the 45th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Vasco Goycochea's left hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrianinho Meirelles made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Conceicão in the 53rd minute of play forced ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's goalkeeper Vasco Goycochea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasco Goycochea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Conceicão in the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andriy Kaká to maneuver through the defense. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ made a substitution. A collision led to Alexandrie CF getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Isaac Andrews hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Mai Bin Kuan made a precise shot to the right of Matthias Brandin. Alexandrie CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. With a little luck, Alexandrie CF's Matthias Brandin got control of the ball when Mai Bin Kuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
