A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Alexandrie CF's Yannick Osterhagen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Damásio in the 24th minute of play forced Alexandrie CF's goalkeeper Matthias Brandin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Mateus Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Casado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthias Brandin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Alexandrie CF were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renato Aragão made a kick off.
