Reinaldo Carrasqueira was slow to take the kick. During this time Piao FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Piao FC's corner Pedro Damásio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Truylos Bernal quite easily take care of the ball. Reinaldo Carrasqueira made a great header on Piao FC's corner, it was just that Salelles's Truylos Bernal managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee showed Evandro Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Piao FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Salelles:s goal. Durval Soares had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Vinicio Turrilla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Renato Aragão made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Aragão in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Truylos Bernal saved Salelles from getting behind. In the 53rd minute, Vinicio Turrilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
