Ignatius Casasola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wojciech Wojno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SANFINS VLP's David Prada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save SANFINS VLP from getting a goal against them. Ignatius Casasola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanick Coremans in the 13th minute of the match. David Prada was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Virgílio Teves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Edgar Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Prada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. David Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Teves, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 38th minute, Edgar Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yanick Coremans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute Virgílio Teves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Virgílio Teves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Edgar Costa made the kick off in the second half. Cassiano Telinhos hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute of the match, Eduardo Viana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ignatius Casasola saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With an all-out effort, SANFINS VLP's Ignatius Casasola threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eduardo Viana, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 65th play minute Eduardo Viana came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ignatius Casasola. 2-1. SANFINS VLP's David Prada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Costa in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Yanick Coremans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgílio Teves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. David Prada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aloísio Garcez hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. David Prada came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Garanhão do SUL's Virgílio Teves. But to his dismay, Virgílio Teves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 89th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laércio Rebocho to maneuver through the defense. Yanick Coremans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ignatius Casasola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Laércio Rebocho hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the SANFINS VLP players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Garanhão do SUL.
