After some careless play in the Piao FC defense, Adrianinho Meirelles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Durval Soares. The Piao FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Durval Soares should have stopped the shot. In the 15th match minute, Piao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abílio Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes Piao FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ronaldo Cosme who took care of the corner kick. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Ronaldo Cosme was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Durval Soares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Vasco Goycochea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Damásio in the 24th minute of play. After 26 minutes ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Reinaldo Carrasqueira who took care of the corner kick. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reinaldo Carrasqueira was slow to take the kick. During this time Piao FC's players had a chance to rest. Adrianinho Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Durval Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durval Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrianinho Meirelles in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Meirelles in the 39th minute of play forced Piao FC's goalkeeper Durval Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40thth minute of the game Mariano Vital who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Vasco Goycochea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vasco Goycochea was a little too slow when Gaspar Vilas Boas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Renato Aragão to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Adrianinho Meirelles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 61 minutes into the match, Mai Bin Kuan notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Piao FC's Durval Soares. Durval Soares was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Durval Soares was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Mai Bin Kuan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mai Bin Kuan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Mai Bin Kuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Piao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abílio Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. If Mai Bin Kuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mai Bin Kuan in the 80th minute of play forced Piao FC's goalkeeper Durval Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 minutes of play, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Mai Bin Kuan made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kauã Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Mai Bin Kuan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Durval Soares was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Piao FC's goalkeeper Durval Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
