The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Belém got free with Ignatius Casasola in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF were awarded a corner. Bertus Guine went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's Cristiano Bento getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Vivaldo Belém blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ignatius Casasola having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Teves in the 14th minute of play forced VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's goalkeeper Maurício Estrela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Virgílio Teves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 minutes of play, VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's Jerónimo Leiria made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ignatius Casasola was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edgar Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cristiano Bento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Garanhão do SUL for a fine match.
