An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Christou in the 4th minute of play forced Piao FC's goalkeeper Durval Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Nikos Christou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AM United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piao FC the free kick. Abílio Pedroso hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Piao FC's Mariano Vital sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, AM United's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Vilas Boas came free, but David Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Durval Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Freire in the 27th minute of the match. Teodoro Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renato Aragão did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised David Bastos 35 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Piao FC's Renato Aragão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Piao FC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after AM United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reinaldo Carrasqueira took the corner. Piao FC's Reinaldo Carrasqueira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Bastos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 46 minutes into the game, AM United's Teodoro Freire nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renato Aragão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AM United's David Bastos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Vilas Boas in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Gaspar Vilas Boas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre-Olivier Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Piao FC's Reinaldo Carrasqueira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. David Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Vilas Boas in the 64th minute of the match. Durval Soares made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Teodoro Freire sent off a good shot on target. 75 minutes into the match, Piao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Christou came free, but Durval Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to AM United getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jiang hit a great ball. David Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Carrasqueira in the 79th minute of the match.
