In the 17th minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogelio Farias in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dida Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dida Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogelio Farias's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute of the match, Casimír Ambrosetti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dida Taffarel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. ☠QUINTERO☠'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aldo Cazorla in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dida Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Rogelio Farias sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo Cazorla in the 29th minute of play forced Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldo Cazorla, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, ☠QUINTERO☠'s goal looked a bit too open when German Cano came free, but Tom Wall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute of the match Marquês de Herval got a corner. ☠QUINTERO☠'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Moussa Kabre ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marquês de Herval's Moussa Kabre was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tom Wall in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half Marquês de Herval were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

☠QUINTERO☠ made a substitution. Jonathan Hellström replaced Rogelio Farias. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Hellström to strike the kick off in the second half. Aldo Cazorla kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in German Cano heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Dida Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ☠QUINTERO☠'s Tom Wall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save ☠QUINTERO☠ from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Marquês de Herval eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
