In the 12th minute Uriel Cordearo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gao Yang Yan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Pointe Courte's goalkeeper Gao Yang Yan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, La Pointe Courte's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Cordearo came free, but Gao Yang Yan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Tello AFC's Gao Yang Yan threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Uriel Cordearo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. La Pointe Courte's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Faustino Unax was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 43rd minute Uriel Cordearo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gao Yang Yan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Alonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roch Felenak in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmacio Pello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

La Pointe Courte's Gilbert Thellier was substituted for Alain Girault. But to his dismay, Uriel Cordearo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 75th minute of the match La Pointe Courte got a corner. Tello AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Josué Pagueguy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dalmacio Pello was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Yves Leite capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yves Leite really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. Gao Yang Yan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Unax in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Tello AFC were awarded a corner.
