Agnaldo Mattos made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gaétan Govou. 7 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Acácio Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo de Senna came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabinho dos Santos in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 19 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Paulistano's Fabinho dos Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodriguinho Sousa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Athletico Paulistano were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after ATHLETICO PRaiano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agnaldo Mattos took the corner. Deilmison van Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Acácio Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Deilmison van Basten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Club Athletico Paulistano getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Caetano Pelé hit a great ball. Acácio Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 34th minute of the match. If Deilmison van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha Trancoso in the 39th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Athletico Paulistano's Glauco da Rocha got a free kick in the 40th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deilmison van Basten to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Club Athletico Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Glauco da Rocha. Acácio Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Rafinha Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Athletico Paulistano's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafinha Trancoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguinho Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Athletico Paulistano's Acácio Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 60th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Acácio Lara. That made the score 0-2 after 64 minutes of play. Acácio Lara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 72nd minute. In the 76thth minute of the game Rafinha Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Unax Mudarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Acácio Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Deilmison van Basten. In the 86thth minute of the game Deilmison van Basten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Athletico Paulistano's Acácio Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 87th match minute, ATHLETICO PRaiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaétan Govou to maneuver through the defense. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gaétan Govou quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Agnaldo Mattos, made in the 90th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 93rd minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ATHLETICO PRaiano's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
