Armindo Salgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Agostinho Carneiro went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Willian Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Caeiro in the 21st minute of play. VB-Team were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after SAS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Álvaro Rezende took the corner. The corner ended in Luís Caeiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SAS's Willian Negri did a great save. Luís Caeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Willian Negri made a huge save. Willian Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shao Kun Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Carneiro in the 29th minute of the match. With a little luck, SAS's Willian Negri got control of the ball when Gervásio Severiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute of the match VB-Team got a corner. SAS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Álvaro Rezende ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luís Caeiro made a great header on VB-Team's corner, it was just that SAS's Willian Negri managed to reach the ball for a save. When Sidnei Peres fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SAS's protests and gave Sidnei Peres a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Sidnei Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute of the match Qiu Sheng Bang shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Willian Negri showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SAS's Willian Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 40th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Sidnei Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 played minutes, VB-Team's Álvaro Rezende shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Willian Negri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in VB-Team reached it. Gervásio Severiano in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Willian Negri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gervásio Severiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Negri having to interfere. Armindo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute, Luís Paulo Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oscar Mendonça hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the SAS defense, Luís Caeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian Negri. The SAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Negri should have stopped the shot. After 60 minutes of play, VB-Team's Luís Caeiro made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Willian Negri was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 63 minutes, Oscar Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SAS's Luís Gustavo Cardoso was substituted for Oscar Mendonça. When VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAS's goalie prevented a goal. 73 minutes into the match, Joaquim de Barros notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of SAS's Willian Negri. Willian Negri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gervásio Severiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Willian Negri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gervásio Severiano ran back to his position shaking his head. After 76th play minutes Joaquim de Barros shot 7-1, a short shot which went by Willian Negri and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the SAS defense, Traian Hăvârneanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willian Negri. The SAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willian Negri should have stopped the shot. When VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SAS's goalie prevented a goal. Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Carneiro in the 89th minute of play. Willian Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agostinho Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Gervásio Severiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Willian Negri. SAS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. VB-Team's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
