The KINGS FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save VB-Team from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 8th minute of play forced KINGS FC's goalkeeper Leal Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leal Simões came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by VB-Team's Luís Caeiro. But to his dismay, Luís Caeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. VB-Team's Joaquim de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leal Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Cássio Calçada put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Armindo Salgado. When Jānis Blūms came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the KINGS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jānis Blūms couldn't finish the play. Cássio Calçada received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Armindo Salgado came out and tried to block the shot, but Cássio Calçada slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, KINGS FC's Arias Navas got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute Álvaro Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leal Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
