Cai Yuan Yuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armindo Salgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim de Barros in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Zajonc saved MZ Fénix from getting behind. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save VB-Team from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Cai Yuan Yuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Armindo Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pankracy Zajonc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Caeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Gervásio Severiano's late challenge caught a MZ Fénix's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. MZ Fénix's Vladimiro Granja managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mattias Jonasson in the 41 minute of the game. MZ Fénix's Pankracy Zajonc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 46th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cai Yuan Yuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match MZ Fénix got a corner. VB-Team's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aras Görkem Kaymaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to MZ Fénix's Vladimiro Granja getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Pankracy Zajonc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 56th minute of the match. Armindo Salgado came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by MZ Fénix's Cai Yuan Yuan. But to his dismay, Cai Yuan Yuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 62nd minute of play. Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu was substituted for Joaquim de Barros. In the 70th minute, Luís Caeiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pankracy Zajonc. The goal made the score 4-2.
