Fernando Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Lara in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Agro Imortal's goalkeeper Fernando Courtois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mete Nared. Fernando Courtois made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Mete Nared sent off a good shot on target. In the 13th minute Cléber Basso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Mete Nared notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Agro Imortal's Fernando Courtois. Fernando Courtois was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the match, Agro Imortal's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Postelnicescu came free, but Fernando Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bethel Raba in the 28th minute of play forced Vila Nova FC's goalkeeper Fiori Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Cléber Basso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Courtois. Agro Imortal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cléber Basso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Lara in the 33rd minute of play forced Agro Imortal's goalkeeper Fernando Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Leonardo Giroud fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Nova FC's protests and gave Leonardo Giroud a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Vila Nova FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Giroud. In the 40th minute Bethel Raba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fiori Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Courtois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cléber Basso in the 45th minute. In the 47th match minute, Vila Nova FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Pinho to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luca Postelnicescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luca Postelnicescu scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Courtois, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Agro Imortal's Fernando Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mete Nared in the 55th minute of play. Arlindo Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Fiori Mota made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Vila Nova FC's Cléber Pinho got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Mete Nared shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Cléber Basso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Courtois was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Agro Imortal's Wilian Gulak was substituted for Dennis Bergkamp. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Basso in the 67th minute of play forced Agro Imortal's goalkeeper Fernando Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Courtois stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléber Basso's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Vila Nova FC got a corner. Agro Imortal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luca Postelnicescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 72nd minute, Cléber Basso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Mete Nared shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Bethel Raba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Vila Nova FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Guilherme de Carvalho hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Basso in the 84th minute of play forced Agro Imortal's goalkeeper Fernando Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agro Imortal's Fernando Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Postelnicescu in the 86th minute of play. Fernando Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Postelnicescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Agro Imortal's Wilian Gulak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fiori Mota narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fiori Mota was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wilian Gulak showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 95 minute of play. Agro Imortal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
