Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gilberto Pereira took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 played minutes Gil Magalhães rounded Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fireball Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Ilie Grecescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Gil Magalhães kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amauri Félix. That made the score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Amauri Félix had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Magalhães. Amauri Félix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 28th minute Rio Verde F.C CIMZ were awarded a corner. Marcos Siqueira went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Thiago Neves managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ilie Grecescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ove Malm in the 30th minute of play. Ilie Grecescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Malm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilie Grecescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Malm in the 38th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes Fireball Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho Cavalcante. Jens-Ove Malm might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilie Grecescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jens-Ove Malm ran back to his position shaking his head. Jens-Ove Malm took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilie Grecescu. Ilie Grecescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Amauri Félix made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Gil Magalhães sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jens-Ove Malm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ilie Grecescu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jens-Ove Malm showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 51 minute of play. Ilie Grecescu came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Jens-Ove Malm. But to his dismay, Jens-Ove Malm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Ilie Grecescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Fireball Esporte Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcos Siqueira took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Fireball Esporte Clube's goalie and right to Fabrício Vergílio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Fireball Esporte Clube's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ilie Grecescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Malm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilie Grecescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Ove Malm's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the Fireball Esporte Clube defense, Jens-Ove Malm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilie Grecescu. The Fireball Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilie Grecescu should have stopped the shot. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Ixona Mascarañas was substituted for Mitchel Bakker. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Israel Vidal was substituted for Stoyadin Gulev. Jens-Ove Malm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amauri Félix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Magalhães in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Fireball Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ove Malm came free, but Ilie Grecescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Jens-Ove Malm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Grecescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Gil Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fireball Esporte Clube's Ilie Grecescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Malm in the 93rd minute of play. When Jens-Ove Malm came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Ove Malm couldn't finish the play.
