The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernandinho Albuquerque came free, but Rodolfo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilton Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelinho Abraão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilton Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton Vale in the 5th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuri Teixeira got free with Rodolfo Salgado in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Teixeira in the 13th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14thth minute of the game Wilton Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karaboudjan's Marcelinho Abraão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, TAQUARI FC's Rodolfo Salgado got control of the ball when Fernandinho Albuquerque tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Wilton Vale put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelinho Abraão. Marcelinho Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Vale in the 21st minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Bernard Letourneau got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelinho Abraão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 25th minute, Ernani Souto made a precise shot to the right of Marcelinho Abraão. Karaboudjan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rodolfo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Peixoto in the 28th minute of the match. Yuri Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 minutes of play, TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelinho Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the game, TAQUARI FC's Wilton Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelinho Abraão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fernandinho Albuquerque stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Albuquerque, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Pabla Zuniga hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Oliveira came free, but Rodolfo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karaboudjan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felippe Monteiro in the 56th minute. Marcelinho Abraão was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wilton Vale showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 62 minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aírton Oliveira came free, but Rodolfo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felippe Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The TAQUARI FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
