Ömür Himmet kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Bedrettin Kamuran made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Oswaldo Trigo sent off a good shot on target. Gerardo Palomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bedrettin Kamuran having to interfere. In the 44th minute Ferman Sıraç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bedrettin Kamuran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
