If Zhao Sen Yang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nistor Maghiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 11th minute of play. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciprian Alexe in the 23rd minute of play. Ivan Chiuzbaian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Ferenț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Albino Claude with Ciprian Alexe as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 36 played minutes Minerul Baita -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Albino Claude. With an all-out effort, Minerul Baita -MM-'s Ivan Chiuzbaian threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Niculae Şantău, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 41st minute İlhami Akyazıcı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Maghiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
