Wieslaw Panasewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Ondino in the 7th minute. Arnoldo Karmel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Wieslaw Panasewicz made a huge save. 11 minutes into the match, C.A Huracan's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Geleberto came free, but Delmiro Dominic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delmiro Dominic had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Esben Nordborg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Alfredo Geleberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Delmiro Dominic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Basso in the 24th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes C.A Huracan got a freekick which was hit by Lê Gante. A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Carl Sagan with Sharma Otamendi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Alfredo Geleberto put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Delmiro Dominic. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Alfredo Geleberto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimnasia y tiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Geleberto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delmiro Dominic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Gimnasia y tiro made a substitution. Luisito Eguntsenti replaced Victoriano Ubelteso. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Montrelle to strike the kick off in the second half. Luciano Mouricio kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Delmiro Dominic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Montrelle in the 56th minute of the match. Timoteo Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. C.A Huracan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimnasia y tiro the free kick. Carl Sagan hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 71 minutes, Reynaldo Montrelle made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. C.A Huracan's Delmiro Dominic tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dave Basso hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Basso in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Gimnasia y tiro getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ariel Valiente hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Dave Basso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wieslaw Panasewicz. Gimnasia y tiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dave Basso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 84 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Gante came free, but Wieslaw Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th match minute, C.A Huracan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sharma Otamendi to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Esben Nordborg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wieslaw Panasewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Karmel in the 89th minute of play. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dave Basso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Fausto Elixio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Delmiro Dominic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Montrelle in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute of the match Gimnasia y tiro got a corner. C.A Huracan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Esben Nordborg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of C.A Huracan's goalie and right to Endre Szentes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. C.A Huracan's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A Huracan fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gimnasia y tiro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
