Kang Ying Hai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Mikolaj Giertych took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Vincent Aalberts to make any attempt to save it. Hélder Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kang Ying Hai having to interfere. Vincent Aalberts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikolaj Giertych in the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
