The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Oscar Giraldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marcin Bartelak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcin Bartelak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Oscar Giraldo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcin Bartelak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wojciech Pachucki in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roch Grondzki saved SMOCZANKA MIELEC from getting behind. In the 15th minute of the match Wel Lidzbark got a corner. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jeff Bezos ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Tibor Pál-Szabó fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wel Lidzbark's protests and gave Tibor Pál-Szabó a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Wel Lidzbark got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Pál-Szabó. 18 minutes into the match, Oscar Giraldo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Wel Lidzbark's Marcin Bartelak. Marcin Bartelak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcin Bartelak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Giraldo in the 23rd minute of play. Dacian Bejenaru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roch Grondzki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. If Oscar Giraldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucjan Kocieniewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aleksander Naumowicz made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Jacinto Pinto. Marcin Bartelak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Giraldo in the 35th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Wojciech Pachucki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roch Grondzki was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wel Lidzbark's goalkeeper Marcin Bartelak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roch Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucjan Kocieniewski in the 45th minute of play. Oscar Giraldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcin Bartelak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wojciech Pachucki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oscar Giraldo scored 0-4 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcin Bartelak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Oscar Giraldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aleksander Naumowicz during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radoslaw Ziombkowski in the 66th minute of play forced SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goalkeeper Roch Grondzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wel Lidzbark's Marcin Bartelak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Lewandowski in the 67th minute of play. In the 79th minute Lucjan Kocieniewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Grondzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Giraldo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcin Bartelak having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Oscar Giraldo could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Marcin Bartelak however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Wel Lidzbark's Aleksander Naumowicz got a free kick in the 82nd minute. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Sylwester Klimkiewicz was substituted for Andrzej Brataniec. Marcin Bartelak yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. A hard shot by Bertil Ekström from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Marcin Bartelak's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 94th minute, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Silvestre Oinaz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Silvestre Oinaz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SMOCZANKA MIELEC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Silvestre Oinaz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Roch Grondzki had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Jeff Bezos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
