João Francisco Loyola came out and tried to block the shot, but Beto França slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 2nd minute. Augusto Demaria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson Leal in the 21st minute of the match. Augusto Demaria came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's Kléberson Leal. But to his dismay, Kléberson Leal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Otávio Meirelles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Augusto Demaria read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. If Jorge Valdivia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Leal to maneuver through the defense. João Francisco Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Garcia in the 32nd minute of play.
