In the 28th minute, Wellington Phoenix's Tadeu Zonta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mustafa Cumhur Gök. Mustafa Cumhur Gök yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Luiz Paulo Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remus Gavruță, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Luiz Paulo Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Seb Hedges went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Seb Hedges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
