Rene Sergi charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Sergi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Falcão Duarte in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Amor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Paulo Renato Saraiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melquiades Amor was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Ronaldo Giovanelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero da Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 14 minutes, Falcão Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galo do Japi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Duarte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melquiades Amor made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Paulo Renato Saraiva sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Melquiades Amor managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Galo do Japi's Paulo Renato Saraiva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Renato Saraiva in the 24th minute of play. Ronaldo Giovanelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arí Machado's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute of the match CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA got a corner. Galo do Japi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ardwyad Vulcan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Ardwyad Vulcan to fire away a dangerous shot which Ronaldo Giovanelli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Renato Saraiva in the 31st minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Melquiades Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Galo do Japi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cafu Ringaa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Amor having to interfere. The Galo do Japi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Falcão Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Melquiades Amor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galo do Japi.
