Ernesto Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Osmar Marinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Régis de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Osmar Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis de Queirós having to interfere. In the 26th minute, José Carlos Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Igor Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Luke Clist came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luke Clist couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Mathias Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Osmar Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Carlos Simões got free with Luiz Eduardo Galvão in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Palmeiras defense, Manoel de Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Régis de Queirós. The Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Régis de Queirós should have stopped the shot. Palmeiras made a substitution. Qarabulud La Forgia replaced José Carlos Simões. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Porto was the one to do the kick off. When Palmeiras's Luke Clist in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 59thth minute of the game Luke Clist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aesir FC FSCMZ's Luiz Eduardo Galvão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Aesir FC FSCMZ getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ernesto Berger hit a great ball. Aesir FC FSCMZ's Luiz Eduardo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcisio Reis in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qarabulud La Forgia in the 69th minute of play forced Aesir FC FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palmeiras made a substitution. Dudu Capixaba replaced Michel Sergipano. Palmeiras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tarcisio Reis in the 74th minute. Palmeiras's Qarabulud La Forgia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 78th minute Palmeiras were awarded a corner. Tarcisio Reis went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Kléberson Neiva heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Luiz Eduardo Galvão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke Clist in the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Dalmo de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qarabulud La Forgia hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Dudu Capixaba got a free kick in the 85th minute. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Aesir FC FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Qarabulud La Forgia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Aesir FC FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Qarabulud La Forgia came free, but Luiz Eduardo Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
