In the 7th match minute, Zemantauskas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Negri to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Lopes in the 10th minute of play forced Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's Chico Donato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save DIPLOMATA FC PAB from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute José Augusto Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ahmet Reha Pekel to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of DIPLOMATA FC PAB booed when Zemantauskas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. When José Augusto Lara came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the DIPLOMATA FC PAB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Augusto Lara couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Zemantauskas FC's Ferdi Saksø got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arósio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Augusto Arósio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd minute, one of Zemantauskas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zemantauskas FC. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, DIPLOMATA FC PAB's José Augusto Lara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Carlos Augusto Arósio. 100 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Lopes came free, but Carlos Augusto Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
