Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ahmet Reha Pekel started the match with the kick off. Zigmantas Gimbutas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Arósio having to make a save. After having played for 7 minutes, Zigmantas Gimbutas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Braga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zigmantas Gimbutas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Augusto Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zigmantas Gimbutas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlos Augusto Arósio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 20th minute of play. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Zigmantas Gimbutas sped through Zemantauskas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Arósio. Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 25th minute of play. Zigmantas Gimbutas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Arósio having to make a save. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Jordão in the 34th minute of play. SC Braga's Pipis Dilberis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hernani Branco in the 36 minute of the game. Zigmantas Gimbutas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Arósio made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Reha Pekel in the 40th minute of play forced SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernani Branco during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With an all-out effort, SC Braga's Carlos Augusto Arósio threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamin de Lara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Laçın Cumayev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Reha Pekel in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zigmantas Gimbutas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Zigmantas Gimbutas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 54th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Arósio came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas. But to his dismay, Zigmantas Gimbutas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 66th minute Stig-Åke Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Terra hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 76th minute of play. SC Braga's Charl De Metser was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Augusto Arósio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zemantauskas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Humberto Terra in the 82nd minute. In the 82nd minute Alberto Malheiro clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. A well-hit corner resulted in Jean Veloso heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. If Geraldo Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Antonio Cieri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, SC Braga's Antonio Cieri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.
