Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabinho Pernambucano started the match with the kick off. Encanto's Nico Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Simões in the 3rd minute of play. After 5 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Jacinto. Kléberson Neiva hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Fabinho Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis de Queirós having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's Luke Clist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico Tasso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Encanto got a freekick which was hit by Lucjan Kondysar. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tarcisio Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Tarcisio Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If José Carlos Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute of the match Palmeiras got a corner. Encanto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tarcisio Reis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leonardo Donato made a great header on Palmeiras's corner, it was just that Encanto's Nico Tasso managed to reach the ball for a save. Encanto's Léo Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Léo Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 32 in the game by Léo Travassos from a close distance when the talented Régis de Queirós managed to make a qualified save. Palmeiras's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Carlos Simões in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nico Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Encanto booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luke Clist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabinho Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
If Luke Clist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Uefons's late challenge caught a Palmeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Uefons helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, one of Encanto:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Encanto. Nico Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Simões in the 58th minute of play. Régis de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Régis de Queirós stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabinho Pernambucano's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. José Carlos Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Tasso having to interfere. Nico Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Simões in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Encanto's goalkeeper Nico Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Pernambucano in the 74th minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardinho Paes made a great header on Encanto's corner, it was just that Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós managed to reach the ball for a save. After 88 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Simões. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabinho Pernambucano in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Régis de Queirós saved Palmeiras from getting behind. After 91 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Jacinto. Osvaldinho Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Régis de Queirós having to make a save. Luke Clist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Nico Tasso made a huge save.
