The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cezar Martins helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Cezar Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6thth minute of the game Andy Cole who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marzagão's Mieszko Karanowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Floresta Negra FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lokon Pøhl in the 7th minute. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliviero Vuelta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egun Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliviero Vuelta, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute Andy Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mieszko Karanowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Domingos Santiago kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Egun Pais. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mieszko Karanowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mieszko Karanowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Cole in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Andy Cole had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mieszko Karanowski. Marzagão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andy Cole was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Andy Cole scored 1-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mieszko Karanowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andy Cole took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mieszko Karanowski. Mieszko Karanowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 47th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute of the match Lokon Pøhl sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mieszko Karanowski skillfully saved the ball. After the first half Floresta Negra FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marzagão's goalkeeper Mieszko Karanowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andy Cole blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mieszko Karanowski having to make a save.
