The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aníbal Alagoano. Sérgio de Azevedo was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Aníbal Alagoano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aníbal Alagoano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Sérgio de Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raphael Cunha in the 10th minute. Sérgio de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aníbal Alagoano's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 17th minute Jenipapo SC were awarded a corner. Arsenio Gipuzkoa went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Arsenio Gipuzkoa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sérgio de Azevedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 19th minute of play forced BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Alagoano in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio de Azevedo saved BMB IMOVEIS SC from getting behind. Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Jenipapo SC were awarded a corner. Arsenio Gipuzkoa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalie and right to Maurício Arósio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. BMB IMOVEIS SC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Sérgio de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Aníbal Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. Jenipapo SC were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after BMB IMOVEIS SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arsenio Gipuzkoa took the corner. Jenipapo SC's Arsenio Gipuzkoa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36th minute, André Luiz Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sérgio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 38th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Arsenio Gipuzkoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aníbal Alagoano to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mathias Vidal. Pompiliu Poalelungi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 52 minutes into the match. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jenipapo SC! The goalkeeper, David Seaman, was totally fooled by BMB IMOVEIS SC's Hélder Melo, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Sérgio de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Cunha in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute of the match Jenipapo SC got a corner. BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arsenio Gipuzkoa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sérgio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Junior in the 62nd minute of the match. Walmir Lima hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Raphael Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio de Azevedo having to interfere. Vinicio Junior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Sérgio de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Junior in the 69th minute of play. Sérgio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Raphael Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jenipapo SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Junior in the 75th minute of play forced BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Zé Carlos Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Vinicio Junior cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Sérgio de Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Junior in the 82nd minute of play. When André Luiz Vides fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BMB IMOVEIS SC's protests and gave André Luiz Vides a yellow card for diving instead. Jenipapo SC made a substitution. Alan Ford replaced Zé Carlos Monteiro. The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when BMB IMOVEIS SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Vinicio Junior who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raphael Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio de Azevedo having to interfere. Raphael Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Flóki van Dam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsenio Gipuzkoa missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 97 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Sérgio de Azevedo right hand side. When the referee ended the match the Jenipapo SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
