Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aníbal Alagoano to make the kick off. Sérgio de Azevedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Aníbal Alagoano slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 91st minute. After 94 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Arósio. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Vides in the 95th minute of play. BMB IMOVEIS SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hélder Melo in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded Jenipapo SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than BMB IMOVEIS SC.
