With a left leg Patricio Ugutz saved Barcellos Mineiro FC from getting behind. 4 minutes into the match, Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Carrascal. In the 14th minute Luisinho Uribe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Uribe in the 19th minute of play forced Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes of play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Luisinho Uribe made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Radul Kokalov kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Barcellos Mineiro FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Amílton Loyola hit a great ball. Patricio Ugutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niva Bellido in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niva Bellido in the 32nd minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Patricio Ugutz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes Barcellos Mineiro FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ubaldo Maillard who took care of the corner kick. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Patricio Ugutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niva Bellido in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niva Bellido stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Carrascal in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Dolar in the 60th minute of play forced Romando Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Dolar, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Dale Dolar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas. Romando Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Dolar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Romando Futebol Clube's Juninho Paulista managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Amílton Loyola in the 77 minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Amílton Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubén-Osvaldo Cousillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Dolar in the 88th minute of play. Barcellos Mineiro FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
