The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Vladimir Moskvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 5 minutes into the match, Valdomiro Matos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas. Jeremy Nicholas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Valdomiro Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Valdomiro Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aymerick Laporte charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aymerick Laporte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Aymerick Laporte hit a great ball. Glen Conklin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Adolfo Lago read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdomiro Matos in the 43rd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Luiz Fábio Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glen Conklin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Adolfo Lago. Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. Andrézinho Barral charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrézinho Barral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andrézinho Barral kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Valdomiro Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Roman Major hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Glen Conklin was slow to take the kick. During this time New England Minas's players had a chance to rest. New England Minas's Tony Pacheco was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 69th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. João Adolfo Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Nordmark in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute Kılıçalp Akgün shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Augusto Consalvi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. New England Minas's Arturo Sito was substituted for Tony Pacheco. After a rather tough play, New England Minas's Arturo Sito got a free kick in the 85th minute. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Consalvi in the 86th minute of play. Jeremy Nicholas came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's Kılıçalp Akgün. But to his dismay, Kılıçalp Akgün quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marino Montrelle in the 92nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tio Lio in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Adolfo Lago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the match, Marino Montrelle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. New England Minas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marino Montrelle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. New England Minas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
