Karl Martin Bell Burnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Piearres in the 8th minute of play. Lisandro Piearress short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Karl Martin Bell Burnell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Liga Esporte Paulo Afonso's attentive Kristiyan Pirkov managed to snatch the ball when Jaime Miranda made a throw-in in the 12th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the match, Lisandro Piearres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karl Martin Bell Burnell. Liga Esporte Paulo Afonso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lisandro Piearres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. When Lisandro Piearres, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 44 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Karl Martin Bell Burnell was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Liga Esporte Paulo Afonso's Gernando Pernambucano got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Åke Hellström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ximenez Cayuso. Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Liga Esporte Paulo Afonso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gernando Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the game, Timoteo Estevez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Karl Martin Bell Burnell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
