An unexpectedly hard shot by Renatinho Leal in the 4th minute of play forced Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Franklin Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grêmio 20 Julho's Jael Jardel got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AF CERRADO's Renatinho Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franklin Costa stood somewhat misplaced when Kaká Goiano came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 13 minute. After 16 minutes, Marcelo Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio 20 Julho and the AF CERRADO players grew even worse after the yellow card. 20 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Franklin Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Goiano. A collision led to Grêmio 20 Julho getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. José Saraiva hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Didi Gaúcho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Franklin Costa, passed just outside the right post. In the 23rd minute, Didi Gaúcho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AF CERRADO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Franklin Costa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kaká Goiano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 30 minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Grêmio 20 Julho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson de Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Franklin Costa made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Kaká Goiano sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the game, José Saraiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio 20 Julho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AF CERRADO the free kick. In the 39th minute, José Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anderson de Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Augusto de Godoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Anderson de Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goalkeeper Franklin Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renatinho Leal. Grêmio 20 Julho's Franklin Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Goiano in the 48th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaká Goiano to make the kick off. Murillo Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. AF CERRADO's José Augusto de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jael Jardel in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Grêmio 20 Julho getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jael Jardel hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Kaká Goiano notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Grêmio 20 Julho's Franklin Costa. Franklin Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AF CERRADO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Marcelo Passos scored to the left of an out of position José Augusto de Godoi, making the score, 4-1. Emerson de Azevedo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Kaká Goiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AF CERRADO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. 80 minutes into the match, Grêmio 20 Julho's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Goiano came free, but Franklin Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Grêmio 20 Julho's José Saraiva got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st match minute, AF CERRADO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Cearense to maneuver through the defense. When Murillo Meira came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Grêmio 20 Julho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murillo Meira couldn't finish the play. Jael Jardel kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Didi Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Grêmio 20 Julho's José Augusto de Godoi threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anderson de Sousa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 90 minutes AF CERRADO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was César da Silveira who took care of the corner kick. Anderson de Sousa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. AF CERRADO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Anderson de Sousa scored to the left of an out of position José Augusto de Godoi, making the score, 5-2. In the 95th minute, Marcelo Passos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AF CERRADO walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
