The Grêmio 20 Julho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franklin Costa should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Garro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Franklin Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Grêmio 20 Julho getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Marcel Andrade hit a great ball. Franklin Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Franklin Costa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fausto Romero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 54 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cacá Britovskiy got free with Franklin Costa in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cacá Britovskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Franklin Costa made a huge save. Fausto Romero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Franklin Costa came out and tried to block the shot, but Fausto Romero slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 74th minute.
