A.A. Francana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AF CERRADO the free kick. Kaká Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th match minute, A.A. Francana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro Lago to maneuver through the defense. Telmo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Goiano in the 21st minute of play. Wilton Romero hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Cearense during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Pedro Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd match minute, A.A. Francana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Leite to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Kaká Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. AF CERRADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaká Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute Kaká Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as AF CERRADO's Kaká Goiano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Telmo Trigo. That made the score 0-4 after 51 minutes of play. In the 54th minute, Kaká Goiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AF CERRADO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Kaká Goianos short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Telmo Trigo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Telmo Trigo was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Kaká Goiano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kaká Goiano really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Kaká Goiano took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Telmo Trigo to make any attempt to save it. Telmo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Goiano in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo got control of the ball when Kaká Goiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armandinho Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armandinho Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, A.A. Francana's Armandinho Vergílio got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Goiano came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Wilton Romero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. José Augusto de Godoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 79 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's goal looked a bit too open when Armandinho Vergílio came free, but José Augusto de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute, AF CERRADO's Kaká Goiano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. Telmo Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaká Goiano in the 85th minute. When Kaká Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the AF CERRADO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaká Goiano couldn't finish the play. Jefferson Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Telmo Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaká Goiano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Telmo Trigo when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
