Fausto Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Trigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Romero in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Trigo saved A.A. Francana from getting behind. Fausto Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Trigo having to interfere. The supporters of Coritiba Foot Ball Club booed when A.A. Francana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Fausto Romero got a free kick in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Romero came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Denílson Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artur Laguna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Telmo Trigo. A.A. Francana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute Cacá Britovskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Luiz Eduardo Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 minutes of play, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Fausto Romero made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Telmo Trigo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute Fausto Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Fausto Romero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Fausto Romero put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Telmo Trigo. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Wilton Romero hit a great ball. Telmo Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Fausto Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armandinho Vergílio made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Marquez Padolles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Telmo Trigo. That made the score 0-5 in the 51 minute of play. 56 minutes in the game, Fausto Romero fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Telmo Trigo having to interfere. Fausto Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Trigo having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marquez Padolles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo Trigo was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. The corner ended in Artur Laguna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet as Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Cacá Britovskiy slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Telmo Trigo. That made the score 0-6 after 63 minutes of play. Cacá Britovskiy was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Coritiba Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Cacá Britovskiy hit a great ball. Wilton Romero struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Durval Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A.A. Francana. The crowd rose to their feet as Fausto Romero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Telmo Trigo. That made the score 0-8 in the 77 minute of play. When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Artur Laguna got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Telmo Trigo. Fausto Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Telmo Trigo made a huge save. Telmo Trigo came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Fausto Romero. But to his dismay, Fausto Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-10. A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save A.A. Francana from getting a goal against them. After 91 minutes, Fausto Romero made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Telmo Trigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Romero in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in A.A. Francana's zone, Fausto Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Telmo Trigo came out of the goal and Fausto Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
