The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reinaldo Carneiro during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st minute Renatinho Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the AF CERRADO defense, Rodolfo Munhoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandrinho Sabóia. The AF CERRADO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandrinho Sabóia should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Rodolfo Munhoz could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Sandrinho Sabóia however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, October 04's Mário Pena got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the match Richard Travassos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Davi Couto skillfully saved the ball. Sandrinho Sabóia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Munhoz in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, October 04's Reinaldo Carneiro got a free kick in the 29th minute. 35 minutes into the game, Renatinho Leal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Davi Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodolfo Munhoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Sandrinho Sabóia made a huge save. Davi Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaká Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaká Goiano in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davi Couto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Davi Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renatinho Leal's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Renatinho Leal sped through October 04's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Davi Couto. Davi Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaká Goiano in the 58th minute of play. Sandrinho Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Munhoz in the 60th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horácio Aguiar in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandrinho Sabóia saved AF CERRADO from getting behind. After having played for 63 minutes, Renatinho Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AF CERRADO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renatinho Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Davi Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Leal in the 64th minute of the match. Davi Couto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kaká Goiano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 66 minute of play. October 04 made a substitution. Wesley Teles replaced Geraldo Schmidt. Sandrinho Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Aguiar in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Aguiar in the 82nd minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Sandrinho Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. October 04's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Durvalino Albuquerque in the 83rd minute. After taking down the ball on October 04's corner Durvalino Albuquerque fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sandrinho Sabóia quite easily take care of the ball. October 04's Davi Couto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save October 04 from getting a goal against them. When Wilian Alcântara fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored October 04's protests and gave Wilian Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, October 04's Wilian Alcântara got a free kick in the 85th minute. Rodolfo Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Rodolfo Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
