When Allan Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio 20 Julho's protests and gave Allan Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. Cacá Britovskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Gil Guerra made a huge save. In the 25th minute of the match, Cacá Britovskiy got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gil Guerra was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lobo Londrina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Guerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play.
