When Paul Stoian fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's protests and gave Paul Stoian a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Batalionul U23 Dorobanti getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Paul Stoian hit a great ball. Igor Kelemen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Dică, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Igor Kelemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Dică in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Dică came free, but Igor Kelemen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Marin Dică notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Igor Kelemen. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Kelemen should have stopped the shot. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Ernie Ball was substituted for Karl-Michael Brask. Igor Kelemen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Miulescu in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Marin Dică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Kelemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernie Ball might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radu Barbălată. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radu Barbălată showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernie Ball, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Alexandria Team08 made a substitution. Péter Bánhegyi replaced Marin Dică. The wind increased when Ernie Ball made the kick off in the second half. A well-hit corner resulted in Basarab Panciu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a rather tough play, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Tauro Doro got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Batalionul U23 Dorobanti getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Tauro Doro hit a great ball. It was beautiful to see Alexandria Team08's Kılıç Özyuva in action when he in the 70th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After 72 minutes, Wagner Doro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti and the Alexandria Team08 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Wagner Doro. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Igor Kelemen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Péter Bánhegyi in the 74th minute of play forced Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Igor Kelemen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kılıç Özyuva made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Zhou.
