James Batistuta started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Fotbal Club Vaslui defense, James Batistuta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genaro Montez. The Fotbal Club Vaslui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Montez should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Fotbal Club Vaslui getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Toader Muncelean hit a great ball. Fotbal Club Vaslui's Genaro Montez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Batistuta in the 16th minute of play. Genaro Montez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Genaro Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Batistuta in the 19th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Radu Ispas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fotbal Club Vaslui's supporters crossed their fingers, but Radu Ispas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Genaro Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half A4p FC Gad were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Traian Traian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Neves in the 52nd minute of play. Genaro Montez made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Alessandro Del Piero sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to A4p FC Gad getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Erasmo Damião hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute of the match, James Batistuta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Genaro Montez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 65th minute of the match, King Scorpio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Genaro Montez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by King Scorpio in the 65th minute of play forced Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper Genaro Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Del Piero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Genaro Montez made a huge save. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A4p FC Gad reached it. In the 82nd match minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wellington Neves to maneuver through the defense. Genaro Montez made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Flavius Cândroveanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 88th minute of the match, Flavius Cândroveanu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Genaro Montez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 90 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Flavius Cândroveanu came free, but Genaro Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Montez had great luck who in the 90thth minute grab hold of the ball when Flavius Cândroveanu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fotbal Club Vaslui's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcin Pachucki was slow to take the kick. During this time A4p FC Gad's players had a chance to rest. Genaro Montez stood somewhat misplaced when King Scorpio came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 94 minute. When the match was over A4p FC Gad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fotbal Club Vaslui throughout the match.
