An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Isak in the 8th minute of play forced Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalkeeper Nistor Maghiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionică Corcoveanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Albescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Filip Pantiș kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nistor Maghiar. That made the score 2-0 in the 14 minute of play. Mikael Isak's late challenge caught a Minerul Baita -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Shearer to make the kick off. A collision led to Minerul Baita -MM- getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Felix Ferenț hit a great ball. Ionică Corcoveanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Shearer, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After some careless play in the Minerul Baita -MM- defense, Flavius Stanciu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nistor Maghiar. The Minerul Baita -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nistor Maghiar should have stopped the shot. Eintracht Cernavoda's Emilian Bădulescu was substituted for Cristi Dulca. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Dudu Georgescu replaced Allan Shearer. In the 74th minute Codrin Izbașa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nistor Maghiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute Eintracht Cernavoda were awarded a corner. Philip Walter went to the cornerflag to take it. The Eintracht Cernavoda fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Eintracht Cernavoda's Yin Li Ying looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The corner led Minerul Baita -MM-'s Dudu Georgescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Ionică Corcoveanu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nistor Maghiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigel Gologan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Huey Bom kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Eintracht Cernavoda's Ionică Corcoveanu got control of the ball when Cédric Payen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eintracht Cernavoda walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
