In the 4thth minute of the game Constantin Dică who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 5th minute, Răzvan Zamfira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Avram Panait took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Nedelciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Costin Maghear fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC AdibA's protests and gave Costin Maghear a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th match minute, FC AdibA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Costin Maghear to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Codrin Ionete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Avram Panait saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC AdibA's Avram Panait played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radu Păvăloae in the 12th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Constantin Dică came free, but Aurelian Coporan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC AdibA's Avram Panait proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save FC AdibA from getting a goal against them. After 26 played minutes FC AdibA got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Bocu. Avram Panait made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Sergiu Coșeriu sent off a good shot on target. Eric Pășcuțoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Pășcuțoiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC AdibA booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Pășcuțoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC AdibA getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ionuț Istrăteanu hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes, Academia Rio's Valeriu Ilinca shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Avram Panait came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Academia Rio reached it. The Academia Rio fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Gabriel Macovei sped through Academia Rio's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aurelian Coporan. Răzvan Zamfira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Aurelian Coporan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelian Coporan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantin Dică, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Avram Panait showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC AdibA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valeriu Ilinca was slow to take the kick. During this time Academia Rio's players had a chance to rest. Academia Rio's Valeriu Ilinca was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Avram Panait in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Rio's goalkeeper Aurelian Coporan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dorel Nedelciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Avram Panait having to interfere. Aurelian Coporan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantin Dică in the 71st minute of play. FC AdibA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Constantin Dică in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Zamfira came free, but Aurelian Coporan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Radu Păvăloae during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Ioan Filimon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Șerban Oancea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
