The supporters of Simared -MM- booed when Unicorns ™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calistrat Mihalcea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute of the match Simared -MM- got a corner. Unicorns ™'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olimpiu Breazu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Olimpiu Breazu made a great header on Simared -MM-'s corner, it was just that Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 7th match minute, Unicorns ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mugur Siniştean to maneuver through the defense. Unicorns ™'s Petrică Ţirpescu pulled a muscle in his back after 13 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Unicorns ™'s Valeriu Pogea was substituted for Petrică Ţirpescu. A collision led to Simared -MM- getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Damian Stana hit a great ball. Corneliu Vulpăşin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Chirea in the 22nd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Gheorghe Şerbănoiu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. Unicorns ™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gheorghe Şerbănoiu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Dragalina in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Dragalina in the 45th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Unicorns ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Muraru came free, but Corneliu Vulpăşin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute of the match, Rareș Papadima tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ernest Cazimir saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Unicorns ™ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Simared -MM- were winning 0-2.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narcis Dragalina in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Corneliu Vulpăşin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Aurel Huștiu fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unicorns ™'s protests and gave Aurel Huștiu a yellow card for diving instead. Ernest Cazimir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Papadima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Gheorghe Şerbănoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dorin Plăcintă hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Simared -MM- made a substitution. Dumitru Miron replaced Tiberiu Huștea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Dragalina in the 87th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corneliu Vulpăşin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dumitru Miron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dumitru Miron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Corneliu Vulpăşin made a huge save. The Unicorns ™ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Simared -MM- were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
